This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates to the Mid 20th Century and depicts a gently turned female profile within an oval vignette. The sitter’s soft flesh tones and the painterly highlights in her hair and dress are clearly visible, with a muted sky behind her. The ornate gilt surface surrounding the oval shows raised floral and scroll decoration, and you can see subtle brushwork and surface texture where paint meets the frame. This one-of-a-kind work has a warm, lived-in patina that will stand out in any collection. Mid 20th Century. The painting measures 23 × 28.5 cm (9.1 × 11.2 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 1 kg (2.2 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
