Two friends, one overflowing house and a growing pile of paintings. This is how Holland Art Shop came to be.
Tycho and I were collecting artworks for ourselves because of our shared interest in art — he studied at art school and I’m a musician. We decided my home would become the storage space. Within no time the entire house was stacked with paintings and there wasn’t a single room left with proper walking space.
We actually started Holland Art Shop by accident. One day my girlfriend Roos came with the idea to sell some of the artworks, and the response was overwhelming. Real, handmade vintage art from Holland and Europe that the three of us made accessible — it was a hit. So we kept expanding and eventually founded Holland Art Shop.
We’re three enthusiastic youngsters in our mid-twenties. We all have our part in searching for artworks, handling them with care and maintaining our online platforms. Even Harry, my cat, plays his part by occasionally knocking over a frame when we leave it unattended in the living room for longer than a minute.
In Holland and Europe we have such a rich history of quality art. It’s a pleasure to be able to make those works accessible to you.

We’re a young team in our mid-twenties. We search, check, photograph and pack every artwork ourselves — with occasional help from Harry the cat.
Curates and manages our online collection of Dutch and European vintage oil paintings, overseeing inventory, photography and online listings.
Checks the quality of every painting and specialises in canvas repair and restoration. Studied painting at Arendonk Academy and St. Joost Art & Research. Usually drives when we travel across Europe.
Sources unique vintage and antique artworks and heads customer service, packaging, shipping and logistics — and the bookkeeping.
