This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the 19th Century and presents a small oval portrait of a man set into a textured, aged surface. The sitter’s face and dark clothing are rendered with careful, visible brushwork and a matte paint surface that has spotty wear. The surround shows a gritty, raised texture and areas of flaking that speak to the painting’s age and handling. One of a kind and evocative, this piece will add genuine period character to a collector’s wall. 19th Century. The painting measures 34 × 40 cm (13.4 × 15.7 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 0.8 kg (1.8 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
