This vintage oil painting (early 20th century) captures a peaceful Dutch landscape with windmills by the water, bathed in the soft glow of the evening sky. This painting appears to be signed “P.P. Schiedges”, which suggests it may be the work of Petrus Paulus Schiedges (1860–1922), a Dutch landscape painter associated with the Hague School. Schiedges studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and became known for his atmospheric landscapes featuring Dutch countryside scenes such as waterways, farms and windmills.
