This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the Early 20th Century and depicts a softly rendered streetscape with arches, rooftops, and a wall-mounted lantern visible in the scene. The muted palette of ochres, purples and greens gives the composition a quietly weathered look, and you can clearly see layered brushwork and areas of impasto where the paint builds texture on the surface. The aged varnish and subtle craquelure add to the piece’s character, confirming its one-of-a-kind nature. It would sit beautifully in a collector’s room as a warm, intimate study of architecture and atmosphere. Early 20th Century. The painting measures 37.5 × 47 cm (14.8 × 18.5 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 1.3 kg (2.9 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
