This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the 19th Century and presents a quietly rendered rural scene with a central haystack, distant red-roofed buildings, and a muted sky. The visible surface shows age with fine craquelure and layered, expressive brushwork that gives the fields and sky a tactile texture. Warm, worn tones in the painted surface and the old wooden surround make this a picture with character that sits naturally in a classic collection. As a one-of-a-kind, original work, it offers collectors an intimate example of period paint handling and surface presence. 19th Century. The painting measures 38 × 29 cm (15.0 × 11.4 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 0.9 kg (2.0 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
