This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the 19th Century and is presented as a one-of-a-kind work. The visible scene shows a quiet landscape with a tall tree near a body of water and small figures and animals along the shore under a soft, clouded sky. Careful inspection reveals varied brushwork and a subtly textured paint surface across the sky and ground. The piece sits within a richly detailed gilt surround that complements the muted tones of the canvas. 19th Century.
