This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the 19th Century and presents a finely rendered male portrait against a dark background. The sitter's pale face, high forehead, white cravat and ringed hand are painted with careful, visible brushwork and a subtly textured paint surface. The dark, even background emphasizes the figure and shows age-appropriate surface craquelure. This one-of-a-kind work would make a distinguished addition to a period portrait collection. 19th Century. The painting measures 70 × 82 cm (27.6 × 32.3 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 3.2 kg (7.1 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
