This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dated Year 1891 presents a formal male portrait with a mustached sitter in dark attire and a white collar. The canvas shows visible age with areas of craquelure and small paint losses against a muted brown-gray background. You can clearly see the artist’s handling in the visible brushwork and textured paint surface around the face and background. This one-of-a-kind work carries the worn character collectors appreciate in genuine 19th-century portraiture. Year 1891. The painting measures 46 × 56 cm (18.1 × 22.0 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 0.8 kg (1.8 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
