This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting dates from the Mid 20th Century and depicts a quiet rural scene with cottages, trees and a narrow waterway. The muted palette and visible brushwork give the sky and foliage a soft, weathered texture that reads beautifully in person. You can see the impasto strokes along the water and the delicate scumbling in the trees, evidence of the artist’s hand across the painted surface. This one-of-a-kind work will sit comfortably in a collection seeking understated, period landscape charm. Mid 20th Century. The painting measures 40 × 30 cm (15.7 × 11.8 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 0.3 kg (0.7 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
