This authentic, hand‑painted, original Oil Painting dates from the 19th Century and is a one‑of‑a‑kind work for collectors. The visible portion shows a softly modelled female face with downcast eyes against a dark background, painted in muted tones. The gilt frame is richly carved with floral and leaf motifs, and you can see fine craquelure and subtle variation in the paint surface that hints at original brushwork and texture. This piece will sit beautifully in a collection that values intimate, quietly rendered portraits with historic presence. 19th Century. The painting measures 35.5 × 41 cm (14.0 × 16.1 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 2.9 kg (6.4 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
