This authentic, hand-painted, original Oil Painting from the Mid 20th Century presents a tranquil riverside scene with a stand of trees reflected in calm water and a house at the water’s edge. The muted sky and soft tonal greys are visible across the canvas, and you can see the textured paint surface and gentle brushwork in the tree foliage and water reflections. The composition reads as a singular, one-of-a-kind work with visible signs of hand-applied layers and subtle impasto in places. It would make a quiet, evocative addition to a collector’s vintage landscape selection. Mid 20th Century. The painting measures 51 × 61 cm (20.1 × 24.0 inches) (framed, if shown) and weighs: 1.3 kg (2.9 lbs). If you see a frame in the pictures, it comes with the artwork :)
